The London Tombs nestle in the vaults beneath London Bridge. Since Roman times there has been a crossing at this section of the Thames and the consequent structures located here have seen the wash of history sweep across them.
Recent excavation work unearthed a macabre discovery that suddenly gave meaning to the many hauntings connected to this area. Builders clearing the Tombs literally unearthed hundreds of human bones and claims were made that the construction crew had broken into a long forgotten plague pit.
Perhaps most frightening of all, several of the skulls bore a single hole to the roof of the cranium. Could these be the last remnants of the heads of traitors, spiked and displayed on the old wooden bridge as a blood curdling warning to other would-be law breakers?
Sinister sightings and eerie happenings saw several workers refuse to enter the claustrophobic crypts again. There were reports of sinister faces, seen hanging in mid air, violent poltergeist attacks and spine chilling shrieks and cries have been heard.
What terrors will be unleashed on The Most Haunted team as we descend again into the dank depths of London away from the purifying light of day?
